Profile

Engr. Dr. Michael Tiza holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering (2024), an M.Eng. in Transportation Engineering (2017), an MBA in Construction Management (2016), and a B.Eng. in Civil Engineering (2015). He is currently the Dean of the School of Engineering and Environmental Sciences and the Deputy Director of the Directorate of Research, Innovation, and Development at Federal Polytechnic Wannune. A COREN-registered engineer, Dr. Tiza is a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and a Fellow of the International Organization for Academic and Scientific Development (IOASD, India), the Chartered Institute of Management and Leadership (CIML, USA), and the International Society for Development and Sustainability (ISDS, Japan). He has authored over 80 articles in peer-reviewed journals and has published eight academic books, including six book chapters indexed in Scopus and Web of Science. Dr. Tiza holds editorial roles as a Consulting Editor for Advances in Bamboo Science (Elsevier) and Editor-in-Chief of both WANNUNE International Journal of Science, Technology, Innovation, and Applied Research and International Journal of Engineering, Science, and Environmental Research. He also serves on national committees, including the Failure Analysis and Investigation Committee and the Career Development Committee of the NSE Makurdi Branch.

Chief Akor Akaayar Apollos is a Chief Lecturer in Cooperative Economics and Management at the Federal Polytechnic Wannune, currently pursuing a Ph.D. at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. He holds ND/HND in Crop Production, a PGD in Agricultural Cooperative, and an M.Sc. in Agricultural Economics. With over 20 years of teaching, research, and administrative experience, he has served as HOD, Dean, Project Coordinator, Director/CEO of AOPOLY Consultancy, and is now Director of Research, Innovation and Development. His research focuses on agricultural cooperatives, rural development, and poverty alleviation, with publications in national and international journals. He is a member of MNIM, CTA, and ICOPRON and has received awards including Most Dedicated HOD (2014) and Fellow Tiv Professional in Development (2015). He is happily married with children.
